Scholarship Program 2011-12
CSC(Chinese Scholarship Council) announced the CHINESE GOVERNMENT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM for PhD/Master in Chinese universities for 2011-12.
Interested student can apply for this. Following is brief summary of application procedure.

1. Online Application Form
CSC now started the online application form submission .

Make your account here. After filling the form, take a print, sign and attach required documents.
1.1. Agency Number of University
CSC gives every university in china , a specific Agency number. So you can know about Agency number either calling /email the international university student office. Other important thing is selection of duration of PhD program .
1.2. Duration of PhD program
PhD program is 3 years here after Pakistani M.Sc. /M.Phil. (it doesn’t matter that you are M.Sc./M.Phil.) either it is in English or Chinese. PhD in Chinese means that PhD will be in English but you have to communicate with Teachers etc. in Chinese. Duration can be 4 years if you PhD will be in Chinese. First year will be for Chinese language. In English , it will be only 3 years PhD.
1.3. Allocation of Chinese Language
Allocation of extra Language year will depend upon the policy of university . If university support English program then they will give you 3 year program (if you will write study medium “English”).For filling the CSC form, for English you will write as “No Chinese required and PhD period will be Sep 2011 to July 2014 ”. In the of Chinese , it will be as “Chinese language Sep 2011 to July 2012 & PhD will be Sep 2012 to July 2015.
1.4. University selection
CSC gives you three options in the university selection. You have to write the names of the universities of your choice in preference. So you will make three sets of all application form+ documents, to send to three universities.
2. Documents required
2.1. Attested photocopies of SSC, HSSC, B.A./B.Sc. and M.A./M.Sc., by University teacher preferably.
2.2. Two Original Recommendation Letters by University teachers.
2.3. Attested copy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form(http://en.csc.edu.cn/
2.4. Research Proposal. It should be one-page.
2.5. (Optional documents) .Acceptance Letter by university teacher can be advantageous .
The last date for the submission of Application is 31 March for most of the universities . So you should keep in view all things, most importantly the sending of the documents to China.
Most reliable service is DHL. It will take 3-4 day in Rs. 2000+.
